ENGINE

High-performance 84cc two-stroke engine produces crisp, responsive power and offers proven durability to finish each ride with confidence. The KX85’s radiator has been built to work hand in hand with the power output. Keeping it all cool when the racing action is getting hot. The KIPS system varies exhaust port height for increased horsepower and torque.

The KX’s smooth-shifting six-speed transmission offers a positive shifting action along with rugged durability thanks to hard chromed shift forks and new bushings added to the second, third and fourth gears on the output shaft.

SUSPENSION AND BRAKES

36mm inverted cartridge fork features adjustable compression damping, enabling excellent tuning throughout the impressive 27.5cm of travel. The Uni-Trak rear suspension is stable and versatile with a fully-adjustable KYB shock, also featuring 27.5cm of travel. Black spring and green anodized adjusters add to the factory look.

For the ultimate in style, the KX85-II features petal shaped discs just like the full size KX250 and KX450 models. A 220mm disc at the front and 184mm at the rear provide massive stopping power.

FRAME

The bodywork, flat seat, slim fuel tank and low fuel cap are designed to make it easier transitioning from the front to the rear of the motorcycle.­ Styled after the full-size KX250/KX450 models, the KX85 features sleek, aggressive bodywork designed for stunning, aggressive looks. KX85 motorcycles grow with your young racer. Featuring six-position adjustable handlebar mounts; 2-position forward-backward adjustment while optional spacers allow 3-positions of height adjustment.
