ENGINE

The 292 cm³ liquid-cooled 4-stroke engine is fuel-injected. Precise control and a strong low-end torque enable riders to tackle tough terrain, while the powerful top-end lets riders keep the KLX300R humming across fast trail sections. Performance to suit riders looking for fun recreational riding.

SUSPENSION AND BRAKES

A 43mm inverted front fork aids in stability and control even on rough terrain. The fork settings take advantage of the long travel, using a lower spring rate to allow damping to work over a wider stroke range. The rear Uni Trak single-shock system features preload adjustability along with adjustable compression and rebound damping to suit a wide variety of terrain, riders and preferences.

Strong disc brakes add even more confidence and control, with a twin-piston caliper gripping a semi-floating 270mm petal disc in the front and a single-piston caliper with a 240mm petal disc slowing the rear. Large-diameter wheels, measuring 21” at the front and 18” at the rear, efficiently overcome trail obstacles, greatly contributing to trail-riding performance.

FRAME

A lightweight perimeter frame offers optimised rigidity for stability at speed while the short wheelbase facilitates agile handling. High ground clearance allows riders to more easily clear technical terrain features, resulting in confident trail riding.
